Just for the Record

To clear up any misconception from previously posted posts about the man I call "Father" (and occasionally "Rabert"), I just want the world to know that there are not many men out there that are greater than my Dad.

There is a verse of scripture that describes a mighty man that lived long ago. I've used this verse once to publicly describe my Dad...and I'll do it again. I'll do it a hundred times, because I think it's true:

"If all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto [my Dad], behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men."

My Dad was my first date, my biggest fan and the one who helped me live the words "when in doubt, fake 'em out"...until I didn't doubt anymore. He taught me how to play chop sticks, how to not throw like a girl, and tried his darndest to teach me how to slalom before I was eight. He's a dreamer, a schemer and a perfectionist. He's rough, tough and kind. He snores when he sleeps, snorts when he laughs and plays golf with a passion. He loves sweets and, more importantly, his sweetie. He does what's right, and shows others how it's done. The power of his words, both written and spoken, has carried me through some important times in my life. He loves God, his family and his country in a way that I wish all men and politicians would.

I am so very blessed to be the daughter of such a mighty man...
My Dad.

Your dad has always been one of my favorite people. I am always amazed by his love, humor, talents, and devotion to his family and God.
