To all My Democratic Friends and Otherwise Obama Fans:
On my hour-and-a-half commute home last night (along with half of my co-workers crammed into the cab of the CEO's truck), I saw something over which I'm certain you're all going to be green with envy.
While driving through the suburbs of Kisauni, not far from downtown Mombasa, we rolled past a barbershop. Nothing too interesting...until closer observation.
For somewhere around 30 shillings (just a fraction less than 50 cents), you can patronize the Democrats Hair Clinic. AND, by all auspices of artfully displayed marketing portraits, are promised to come away looking somewhere between Obama's 2nd cousin (despite the chances that you probably already are) and JFK's African kaka (which is not nearly as bad of a word as it sounds).
I'd say that's money well-spent.

I just want to know if you stopped in for a new do - and if so...... where is the picture? ;) You might as well try it. Someday when you are back in the states and you are bored with your hair- you'll say to yourself "if only I had taken advantage of that unique barbershop while I was in Africa"
