Sweeter than any Other

So today is kind of a special day in my life.  Because without this day, I'm pretty certain I wouldn't have a life.  No, it's not my birthday.  No, I didn't meet Aaron on this day.  No, this isn't the day that I realized that cloud bangs were a thing of the past.

No.  Today is the day that XX years ago, D & A G. gave birth to their first daughter...who just happens to be my mother.

This lady is amazing in so,so many ways.  The older I get, the more often I think, "How ever did/does she do it??"

I think my greatest wish for humanity would be that every child to have a mother that has literally given mind, body and soul to her God, her husband, her children and her community, as my mom has.

I have to admit.  Sometimes I wonder what good deed I once did in my pre-mortal existence that allowed me the privilege to be raised by one of the most incredible people I know.  (I know I'm biased...but I'm also really good at putting aside biases for purposes of telling the truth.)  Because, I'm sure there are many times in the past twenty-something years that this woman has wondered, "What in the world did I do in my pre-mortal existence to deserve such an emotional basket case as this daughter??"

All I can say is that I'm grateful she never said that out loud.

And all I can furthermore say is that I want to be just like her when I grow up.
