This morning as I woke up to the sunlight cutting through my blinds and piercing my eyes, I thought,
Today is perhaps the most important day of the year.
Because without this day,
Christmas would have no meaning,
Birthdays would have no hope,
Independence Days would have no glory,
And there wouldn't be much for which to give thanks.
And yet Easter comes
Without much pomp,
But much arrayed in the majesty of Spring.
To remind us of the
Giver of Life
and His Atoning Sacrifice.
Which lights the world
with
Meaning
Vivacity
Wonder
and
Perfect Love.
And the truest carols that we sing,
On this day of days,
Are not from times of yore.
But from the acknowledging of simple awakenings
Somewhere within our souls
that
Christ Lives
and
He Loves Us.
