Dear Neglected Friends,

I hope September and this last day of summer has found each of you introspectively pondering why those blissful warm months had to vaporize like they did.

September has found me slaving away at piles homework, amidst piles of moving boxes (which seem to harbor renegade wolf spiders, which wreak havoc in my kitchen at 12:30 am).

Not exactly interesting blog post fodder.

Hence the neglect.

But, rather, I might say

Hence the sparing you from vapid updates.

But I'm still alive and the baby's kicking,

So life is pleasantly chaotic.

In baby news:

No major updates, other than to my wardrobe, which is having a hard time containing this "blossoming" mid-section of mine.

But, hey, new duds are always fun.

It's just too bad their longevity in my closet will be short-lived.

Honestly, I don't know if I could have asked for a better pregnancy thus far.

I've been pretty lucky.

Blessed, actually.

In other news:

And in the vein of forthrightness, again, I'll be honest,

This kind of freaked me out today:

Kind of really freaked me out.

I'm obviously not prepared for the inevitable.

And why in the world is EVERY stage of pregnancy related to food??

I mean, I love eating for two, but seriously, I do know how to relate to non-edible analogies.

Maybe the thought of birthing a bagel is easier to grasp than, say, a chrysanthemum.

But really, I just kind of look at it as a deterrent from places like Einsteins and Krispy Kreme.

I mean, how can I enjoy a Schmear when this is all I can think about??

Maybe,

Just maybe,

There's some logic to that.

Wow. Wow. I will absolutely take this to heart while birthing my next child. What an ah-ha moment . . .

Ok so that visual guide is cracking me up! I think that is why we are pregnant for 9 months...So we can get use to ideas like dilating to the size of a Bagel!

My reaction: "Ahh! Ahhh!! Wait, is 10 cm really bagel-sized? (breaks out ruler) Yes, it is! Ahhhhh!!!"

Oh, what fun!
