Normalcy

It's always later than late when I decide it's time to post an update.  As much as I can wish, I was not born to be a morning person. 

Pity.

Tonight, after hearing of all the latest adventures of a really good friend, the conversation turned to me:

So what's new in your life?

I paused.

Well...she already knew about finally putting grad school to rest, the big move across town, the whirlwind trip "home" (that then consisted of two, bifurcated extended family trips), and the musings (or shall I say shriekings) of a teething child.

So I said,

Nothing.  Life is...well...normal.

And although it doesn't make for good conversation,

I am relishing every moment.
