Like many girls, my grandma has been a long-time hero of mine.
But, I'm not sure how many girls can actually claim their grandma as one of their truest friends.
I can.
If I could, I would write a book about her.
I find her to be that inspiring.
Maybe I will.
In talking to her a couple of years ago about facing the loneliness of her new life as a widow, she imparted to me a drop from her deep and abiding well of wisdom:
"You've just got to learn to love yourself.
And enjoy your company."
