Shoot...

So...I've been taking a little bit of heat for not having more "interesting" posts--again. I'm sorry that I'm so boring! However, conveniently, the photographer that shot our engagement pictures posted some of our pics on his blog today... So, of course, (with his permission) I lifted them right onto mine. I hope this suffices... (You'll have to scroll down a bit past the "boring stuff.")

A bit of sad news: My mother--and wedding financier--requested that some of our shots be in the studio. As you can see below, we obliged. I mean, she who has the gold makes the rules...right? But, we also really wanted some awesome casual shots. Due to time constraints, the photographer could only do a couple of shots outside. So. We decided to ask my up-and-coming-photographer cousin Brandon if he could do a shoot for us. He was more than willing to. We spent 3 1/2 hours shooting in Salt Lake. They were destined to be our favorite shots. However, while in the process of editing our pictures, Brandon (who was, at the time, at work at a hospital), left his desk for just a few minutes. When he came back, someone had stolen his laptop, his backpack, his wallet, a lens to his camera and someone else's purse that had been left at the desk. All of the pictures are gone! I'm sick about it--not just for the pictures, but because my cousin lost so many important things!! It makes me so upset that people would be so rogue!

Wedding update: We're 63 days and counting. Yikes! There's still a lot to do! For those into details, our colors are plum...and...well...bling? I know that's a little passé, but I don't know how else to describe it. We've got crystal, pewter, champagne, and...yep...sparkle. I'm thinking it should actually turn out pret-ty niiiice.

By way of other updates: I was just accepted to a Master's program with the University of Illinois. I applied for the program back when I thought we were going to be living in the Chicago area. Well. Not so sure now...Aaron's job contract ends in January. He's currently looking for another job to start after the first of the year. But, unfortunately, this is about the worst time anyone could be looking for a job in finance!! If anyone knows of any good financial analyst or corporate development positions--let me know. We're getting to the point that we're pretty flexible with the location! :) But back to the grad school thing: Luckily they have a full-time online program that actually seems pretty competent. At least they tout it as such. But I'm still just a little leery about the whole online aspect of it. So, if anyone out there who might have some wisdom in this regard...I'd love to hear it.

Other than that...things are just fabulous! Until next time...

Now for the pics:

Ummm...oh my goodness, those are the cutest engagement shots ever! I was sad to read that your cousins stuff was stolen (along with other great photos). People can be so awful. Last thing, CONGRATULATIONS on being accepted to Grad School! That is so awesome, and you are brilliant and amazing and will do such a good job in the program. Congrats again, and as always I love seeing your update, so keep us all updated!
