I don't care how many times I drive to and from work in a claustrophobia-inducing matatu,
I am still amazed every day at humanity.
African humanity.
A few cliche thoughts came to mind on my way home today:
Circumstance does not make the man; it reveals him to himself.
Make it happen.
Just do it.
Do it now...before it gets dark.
When the going gets tough...the tough push handcarts.
What I wouldn't give for everyone I know to take a ride with me through Mombasa:
Looking at the faces of so many shapes and shades,
Catching snapshot glimpses of life, after life, after life.
And somehow
See yourself.
Or at least the self you should be.

So, could you take a little video while you're riding, or do you kind of need to hold on tight with both hands? Because, your prose makes me want to experience it... and really see it!
I'm sure you could hold on with just 1 hand, right?
One suicide mission coming right up...
