As stated by a Notre Dame Chemistry Professor:
"Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana."
Just some food for thought...

Also...I know that posting past 11:30 pm, after writing papers and giving presentations all day is a dangerous recipe for neurotic ramblings (as was so gently pointed out by my cousin Tina). But those are my brainwaves, and I'm sticking to them.
So, the part below is, again, completely unrelated to the part above.
But.
I'm finding myself getting all nostalgic as of late. I missed Fall last year. Kenya was like one big month of May-ing (for all you Jarman fans out there...). This year, as the crispness in the air becomes palpable, my mind is flooded with memories of Falls from My Past. (Not nearly as tragic as it sounds...)
Vivid thoughts of walking to elementary school, high school football games, and, yes, even wedding planning (that's what I was doing the last time I experienced Fall) have entered unannounced on the stage of my psyche and done their little dance and exited almost as quickly as they came.
It's left me deep in thought...or as deep as I get, anyway.
I sometimes feel like I've lived a thousand miniature lives.
And sometimes I forget some of those that I've lived.
And sometimes they come back to greet me.
And remind me.
Of all the good things I've lived.
And loved.
(Pretty deep, eh? Told you so.)

Oh...and for all you mothers out there: I'm going to toot my new blue and gold horn for a second and link you to an article that I thought was encouraging.
And to the rest of my friends with whom I'm so terrible at keeping in touch:
It's not you, it's me.
And someday...I'll have it together enough to be bionic woman. Until then, just know that we're still friends.
Good ones, I might say.
