Just Can't Get it Right

You know your “just a trim” has gone terribly awry when your husband (three days after the fact) dodges questions like “Did you notice I cut my hair?” and the cashiers at the cafeteria quit asking if you’re a student.

It's very newscaster-ish, or, better yet, politician-ista-esque...  I'd say it adds about 10 years.

All I need now is a red power suit.

Boo.

And can I kvetch for just a moment about denim a-la-mode?

I finally broke down and bought a pair of skinny jeans.

Why?

I'm still not sure.

I think that some people can pull them off really well.

I am not one of those people.

To be clear, they're not the so-tight-I-look-like-I'm-wearing-medical-socks-up-to-my-waist variety.  But their more slim and more tapered than I've ever worn before.  And, well, I just don't look good in tapered pants.

Pants shopping is my least favorite thing to do in our capitalistic society.

All I wanted is a pair of pants made especially for short girls that I can wear with flats.

But those seem to be rather hard to come by today.

Unless your one of those who can get away with the skinny jeans.

But, with this Jennifer-Aniston-circa-1995 hair do, I needed something to pull me back into the here and now.

Hence my caving to the tapering.

So that's the skinny on my fashion plights these days.

The End.

I'm sure you look better than the majority of the girls wearing them. YOU just need to get used to the look. Post pics of the haircut too.
