I am going stir crazy.
I've got CV fever in a bad, bad way.
Our neighbors reached a new all-time low last weekend: Someone in a drunken [rage? rampage? roll?] thought it would be extra hilarious to take the fire extinguisher to the entire "commons" area of the apartment building.
That's right.
The whole hallway, stairs, walls, floor were COVERED in a beige-ish film, with naughty, naughty words scraped into the carpet.
Then, there was the smoking in the hallway—infiltrating our house. We slept in sub-zero temperatures because we turned off the heat, as not to pump the toxic fumes throughout every room.
And, not to mention the fact that we've got two new units full of new neighbors--making us by far the oldest, most prudish minority in the building.
Oh, and let's not forget the two or three guys who swung open our door and came barging into our house thinking we were the chicks across the hall.
Dear readers, can I just tell you how much I love, LOVE living with a bunch of undergrads who are certainly lost on the idea of public decency?
But, when I approached the management of the apartment complex last week, I stopped myself before I even got to the meat of my complaints.
I got this strong feeling that they just don't care.
In fact,
I got the feeling that they think that wild "floor" parties are good for business…just as long as the cops don't get involved.
But, I'm convinced that somewhere along the way they forgot that steady, rent-paying, peace-loving tenants like us might actually keep them in business.
Alas, I fear my grievances will fall on deafened ears.
So,
I come to you, dear readers, with my Friday poll:
How do I maintain my sanity for the next five months??
What would you do if you were me?
I'm desperate, here!

If you can't beat them, join them. Make sure to post pics of the two of you getting your P-A-R-T-Y on. :) No, really I'm sorry that doesn't sound fun at all. Hang in there.
