I'm rounding the bend to the I'm-in-extreme-discomfort-unless-I'm-sitting-on-an-inflatable-donut-with-a-pillow-propped-behind-my-back stage.
And a perma-knot has taken up residence in my right shoulder from all of my reaching to my laptop because I can't scoot in my pad-laden chair far enough.
AND
My ultrasound this week revealed that my child is already ranging between 6 and 8 lbs!
And we still have weeks to go.
Holy Moley.
That would explain the need for all of the padding and an in-house masseuse.
I'm just going to say that the thought of labor is becoming a litt-le spooky.
But,
Despite the fact that some [cough Aaron cough] argue that ultrasound pics are kinda freaky (which, ok, they kinda are),
To see my baby's face--like really see it--had me as giddy as a costumed child on a sugar hype on Halloween.
And they say he has hair!
Coming from a long line of "bald-as-a-cue-ball at birth,"
This news just about put me into coma.
We're so excited!
And slooooowly getting ready.
Aside from the neatly stacked pile of cardboard boxes that is currently our nursery (hopefully to be remedied TODAY...details to come),
We are still struggling with the whole name game.
So, my husband asked that I, the family blogger, post a few of the monikers we've been kicking about for public opinion.
If you will notice on the right hand column of this screen, I've posted a little poll.
A short list of 19 names, with an additional insanity option.
Some of these are serious...some not so much.
Some I like, some Aaron likes, and a precious few we've come to a mutual liking.
So if you could, if you would, help some poor Britt's out.
(If you hate them all, we're open for suggestions.)
A little passe? A little too much bowing to peer pressure?
Perhaps.
But really, what's in a name?
A lot.
Think about it: It's in the top three "first judgements" that people make of an individual.
The other two including looks and, well, shoes.
(At least that's always how I initially summed up my blind dates. Seriously. You didn't realize how shallow I am, did you?)
Since it took us hundreds of blind dates to find each other, we figure it will be the same for our posterity.
And we want to give them a fighting chance.

Not sure I should vote since I named my son Duke, which I have been told on numerous occasions is actually a dog's name, not a child's.
I guess that I had better make sure that he always has really nice shoes.
Choose carefully.
We have a list of 23 names - and haven't been able to narrow it down at all! I love your name's though. I voted for Maxwell, Bradford, Will, and Harrison. Can you believe we're almost 3 weeks away? I'm kind of starting to freak out... Can't wait to hear what the final verdict will be!
So this is your favorite oldest younger brother. I think that in lieu of my position in your life, one of your options should be a reflection of who the little squirts favorite uncle will be. Duh. Despite my opinion in this matter, I would vote for Santiago or Bradford. Peace out.
