When I Grow Up

Aye.

This has been one of those weeks where you love being a responsible adult...but you kind of wish you could defer to a more responsible adult to make some hefty, responsible-adult-type decisions.

Too bad I turned 29 the other day, right?  Had I turned 30 and reached the apex of responsible young adulthood, this would be a piece of [blue butter cream-filled birthday] cake!

(Heh. Heh.)

In short, Aaron got an offer for his dream job.

Yaaaaayyyyyy!!!!

Happy dance and pop the cork on the Martinelli's, right??

Of course.

But,

It came with a few hitches we weren't quite expecting.

Why, oh why, must there always be opposition in all things?

And so, we've spent a significant portion of our waking hours in the last 144, weighing the opportunity costs that come with

Responsible adulthood.

Ahh, yes.

And while we haven't come to a firm enough decision to merit any sort of news break,

And while I have such a fickle relationship with responsible adulthood:

Hot and cold.

Off and on.

And despite our recent knock-down-drag-out bout in the decision-making arena,

Today, for so many reasons,

I am grateful to at least aspire to responsible adulthood.

And to the adventure it proposes!

Oooo. How exciting! How nice it must be to have options to weigh. I will be interested to know what conclusions you do come to.

Choose the conclusion that will lead you to Montana. That way we can be boating buddies. Among many other types of buddies. (dessert buddies, workout buddies, music buddies. Heck.... we could even be soccer mom buddies!) :)

Good Luck
